Ironwood was built on one idea: a tattoo is permanent, so the process shouldn't be hurried. Every piece starts as a real conversation and a custom drawing, not a flash-sheet shortcut. Our artists take the time your skin deserves — whether that's a half-hour consult or a full day in the chair.
For custom pieces, yes — it's free and 30 minutes, and it's how we nail down design, placement, and price together. Small standard pieces can sometimes go straight to booking.
Every booking takes a deposit to hold your slot, and it's subtracted from your final price at your appointment — it's never an extra cost.
Keep it clean and lightly moisturized, out of the sun and out of pools or baths for two weeks, and avoid tight clothing over fresh work. We'll send you full written aftercare instructions after your session and we're always a call away if something looks off.
When a chair's free, yes — but booking ahead is the only way to guarantee your artist and your time slot.
A valid photo ID, reference images if you have them, and a good night's sleep. Eat beforehand, especially for longer sessions.
